My name is Alex Ortiz (they/them), and I am a computer science major at UCLA in the class of 2028. Technology and math have been interests of mine since I discovered NASA at five years old. Some notable classes that I have taken in these fields include Software Construction, Algorithms, Multivariable Calculus, and Discrete Structures. I currently have an internship with acm.teachLA at UCLA, and I will be the co-Design Director for the 2026-27 school year. Outside of academics, my interests include writing short stories, creating art, and building websites.
